David Engineering Construction, Inc. (DEC) celebrates 25 years in the heavy civil construction industry as a general contractor serving schools, municipalities, cities, counties, State and Federal Agencies through open bids, JOCs, IDIQs, BAP, BOA and negotiated work.
Under the SBA federally certified 8(a) small business program, DEC has grown from specializing in heavy civil construction, to include vertical construction, design-build capabilities and specialty construction services. Expanding to include these new construction services was intentionally planned for company growth and sustainability both during and after the 8(a) program.
As DEC enters the transitional phase of the 8(a) program, we continue to grow strategically, adding additional Federal and private-sector clients, new business avenues, including projects located throughout California, Oregon and Washington, while following established corporate policies and procedures. Healthy company growth is consistently achieved by hiring key individuals in specific fields and by teaming or subcontracting with proven reputable specialty service construction companies. This strategic growth allows DEC the ability to develop highly skilled self-performing crews and to hire locally based on geographical opportunities. DEC believes in hiring local employees and subcontractors as well as purchasing from local suppliers to support the communities where each and every project is located for the long term success of the project.
